PBA ESTONIA

From Ideas to Action: Cinegiovani at the Inclusion Project Lab in Estonia From 1 to 9 May 2026, Simone Borsci, President of Cinegiovani APS, participated in the “From Ideas to Reality – Inclusion Project Lab”, a Partnership Building Activity (PBA) organized in Estonia by Seiklejate Vennaskond within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. The initiative brought together youth workers and representatives of organizations from ten European countries with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and developing new projects focused on combating hate speech, promoting human rights, fostering social inclusion, and encouraging the active participation of young people with fewer opportunities. During the week-long activity, hosted at Marja Talu in southern Estonia, participants exchanged good practices, established shared values and cooperation principles, and transformed innovative ideas into concrete project proposals to be developed in the coming months. ## A New KA2 Project to Bridge Generations One of the most significant outcomes of Cinegiovani’s participation was the development of a new Erasmus+ KA2 partnership project provisionally titled “Uniting Generations”, involving organizations from Italy, Hungary, and Estonia. The project aims to promote intergenerational dialogue and address the often-overlooked discrimination and stereotypes that can exist between younger and older generations. Through local events, international meetings, and storytelling-based methodologies, the partners intend to preserve traditions, memories, and experiences that risk being lost while creating meaningful opportunities for dialogue and mutual understanding. In the coming months, the consortium will finalize roles and responsibilities in preparation for the Erasmus+ application, expected to be submitted either in October 2026 or March 2027. The project will engage members of the partner organizations as well as young and elderly people from local communities. ## Two New International Youth Exchanges The event also led to the development of two additional Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange projects in which Cinegiovani will participate as a partner organization. The first project, coordinated by a Cypriot organization, will focus on peacebuilding and dialogue among young people from countries experiencing historical or ongoing tensions. The exchange will promote intercultural understanding and work actively against hate speech and prejudice. The second project, led by a Turkish organization, will use photography as a tool for education, self-expression, and social inclusion, with a particular focus on young refugees and their stories. Both project applications are expected to be submitted for the October 2026 Erasmus+ deadline and will involve young people aged between 18 and 30 from the participating countries. ## Cinema and Storytelling to Address Toxic Relationships Among the ideas developed during the project lab was a proposal particularly aligned with Cinegiovani’s mission: an international youth exchange combining cinema, storytelling, and the prevention of toxic relationships. The project, potentially to be implemented in Estonia in cooperation with Seiklejate Vennaskond, would bring together young participants from Estonia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and Portugal to create a short film exploring the theme of toxic love and helping young people recognize the warning signs of unhealthy relationships. Through creative workshops, teamwork, and activities inspired by the connection between people and nature, participants would be involved in every stage of the filmmaking process—from script development and production planning to filming during the exchange itself. The final short film would then be post-produced and used as an educational resource in schools, institutions, and youth organizations. The project is designed for young people aged 20 to 28 and could be implemented between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027 through the Erasmus+ accreditation framework. ## Building the Future Through European Cooperation Cinegiovani’s participation in the Inclusion Project Lab once again demonstrates the organization’s commitment to creating international opportunities for young people through cinema, culture, and non-formal education. The ideas developed in Estonia represent an important step toward future European initiatives that place inclusion, anti-discrimination, intercultural dialogue, and youth participation at the heart of social change. Through these emerging partnerships, Cinegiovani continues to contribute to building a more open, inclusive, and connected Europe for future generations.
